Inspired by the original "Compleat Angler" books, Colin M Jarman's contemporary novelisation is an uproariously updated fictional interpretation and recasting of those 17th century classic fishing manuals for the modern day.
 "Fly-Fishing the River Frome" is a comic novel that casually casts into the murky waters of literary history and reels in startling new truths and shocking twists about "The Compleat Angler" and its celebrated co-authors & legendary fishing buddies: Izaak Walton & Charles Cotton.
 Colin's semi-satirical storyline fundamentally follows a fun-packed, fast-paced, fly-fishing lesson on the banks of the Dorset Frome chalkstream - backed by equally outrageous angling adventures and riverbound road trips across the UK. 

The novel is due for publication (in hard & paper back options) in late Oct 2026, but is currently available for pre-order at a special discount.
